"I bought the Sony WH-CH720N with high expectations, specifically hoping they would isolate me from the world so I could study in very noisy places. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the reality. While the technology reduces noise slightly, it doesn't block it out as much as I expected for a dedicated noise-canceling device. Additionally, I noticed that wind noise can be quite distracting when using them outside or near a breeze.
On the positive side, the comfort is excellent; I can wear them for long periods without issue. The build material feels like good quality, and the battery life is very good, lasting through many study sessions without a charge. The sound quality is also very well-balanced and clear.
However, I feel the price is a bit high considering the noise-canceling performance. If you are buying these specifically to silence a loud room, you might be disappointed with the noise-canceling quality relative to the cost. They are a solid pair of headphones for music and comfort, but not the 'silence machine' I was looking for."
